Just returned this afternoon after five days on island. We went over Thursday morning after week delay due to ferry issues. Glad for delay as fishing was awsome. After unloading ferry on Thursday went to our normal spot to set up our rig. As soon as in coming tide started we caught more giant blues and over size reds than you could count. We kept our limit of legal reds and a couple blues for smoking later. On Friday we had the same luck along with Saturday. Always incoming tide and reds would follow the blues. We had our daughter drive down from Fayettville on Saturday to stay in camper and join in fun. She caught her first big blue and was shaking afterwards. Not sure if we will ever get another trip alone now as she is hooked. Sunday even with the howling wind proved to be the best day. We caught so many blues over 36" and over size reds during a small window Sunday evening we were too tired and sore to fish Monday morning so just loaded up our camper to go home early. All though we get to go many times every year this has so far been the best ever.
