It’s been right at a week since the big HATTERAS (Chopper) BLUEFISH started slamming the pier; there has been quite a lot of fun to be had by so many! …….. Probably the most fun and exhilarating experience is catching a 2 lb. or so BLUEFISH on a GOTCHA PLUG with light tackle and then a HATTERAS BLUE nailing the smaller BLUE! ……… That’s a TIGER BY THE TAIL! …….. It’s amazing how many are landed like that! …………. POMPANO, SEA MULLET, and even ALBACORE are jumping around adding to the good SPRING catches so far! ………… Congratulations to these BLUEFISH LANDING ANGLERS! …………. ERNESTO RIVIERA (Maysville, NC)– 12 lb. 11 oz. ……….. CARTER SMITH (Raleigh, NC)– 10 lb. 12 oz. ………….. DREW PRIDGEN (Rocky Mount, NC)– 10 lb. 6 oz. ………….. RICKY (JC) FLEMING (Selma, NC)– 10 lb. 4 oz. …………. MITCH FORTESCUE (Winston-Salem, NC)– 9 lb. 14 oz. ……….. THOMAS HALL (Vanceboro, NC)– 9 lb. 6 oz. …………. PATTY WEIGHAND (Cape Carteret, NC)– 9 lb. …………. DAVID IMPAGLIAZZO (Hickory, NC)– 8 lb. 14 oz ………… MITCH & SCOTT FORTESCUE (Winston-Salem, NC)– 8 lb. 12 oz. & 7 lb. 4 oz. ………… JAKE HUNT (Louisburg, NC)– 7 lb. 12 oz. ………… COLEMAN HILL (Kinston, NC)– 7 lb. 10 oz. ……… and DAN BEASLEY (New Bern, NC)– with a 2 lb. 2 oz. POMPANO! ………….. The WATER TEMPERATURE is now 64* (thanks Dr. Bogus!) and there is a mud line that extends toward the end making for great fishing conditions!
