Early June Trip

So, just decided to do a last minute trip to CALO in a few weeks. Didnt think I was going to get over this year, but kind of brought it up jokingly to my wife and she said LETS GO! She has never been before but we've always talked about bringing her and our 2 daughters (6 & 10) over for a few days to get the experience. And now all of a sudden its happening!

We are going over Sat 6/10 and coming off Tues 6/13. I've only been over in March/April/October. I know the warmer months are usually avoided due to bugs and slower fishing, but I'm hoping early June may be productive. We are staying in a cabin and will of course have my truck to move around.

Anyone have any tips for fishing in early June? Whats usually running then? Need to make sure I'm geared up correctly.

Looking at the long range forecast, looking like low 80s during day and around 70 at night, so the heat wont be too bad at least. Open to any other ideas/tips to keep the family entertained and happy as well. I've only ever gone over on a guys trip so this will be a different experience for sure! I've told the girls what to expect, watched some videos, looked at lots of photos and told them to keep an open mind and think of it as an adventure. I have to say they are pretty excited and that makes me happy! Just want them to have a fun experience!

Thanks!
