I agree with the posts above. No way I would spend the night on shark island. I have anchored in the hook and camped many times. I have had the weather turn where I couldn't take the boat out of the hook so we just fished the surf. If we had been on shark island and wind picked up like that I couldn't imagine trying to cross the shoals to get to the inlet! I will say year before last I saw two boats anchored there and what looked like a small tent. I was hoping it was just a sun shade and they were going to pack up and go home, but it was awfully late in the day, so some folks may have tried it. They obviously must have way more faith in the weatherman than I do! Just my opinion... Fishmover
