From looking at the island on google maps it looks like it has several protected areas behind the island that would be protected from most any wind direction. Only problem i worry about is if they would still be coves at high tide or under water at that point. Also dont know how much the island has changed since those pictures were last taken. I think we will at least check it out and if we dont like it we will just go camp near the jetty and anchor the boat in the hook. Would definitely pick a couple days that were forcasted to be nice, but we all know that can change.
