we found a cell phone last year. knew what group lost it and when they left. the island office was closed the next day when we departed the island, so we called hq. we were told someone reported it missing and to drop it off at the office our next trip down in 2 weeks. the office was closed when we were around the cabins, so it was another 2 weeks until we could drop it off. that was 6 weeks before the park service got the phone. who knows if it got to it's owner. all they had to do is give us a phone number and we would have sent it back ourselves..way faster
