Seahag, another thing you should do is wrap your cooler with a Radiant barrier,, just pretend this is a Christmas present and glue this to the outside, use one piece on the lower part of the chest and another on the lid, cut the Lid cover long enough to overlap the chest wrap as this will keep wind and rain out.
you will see a huge difference in how long your ice last. Maybe long enough for frozen margaritas ......
