yes, clearance and removing the nerf bars and mudflaps are a good idea. the few times I have been stuck, it has been due to the sand dammding effect of the aftermarket stuff on the underside of my truck. Good Luck with the Blazer, I prefer a full size truck with camper topper for the added space and comfort. Muddy D>
