I’ve spent many nights in the 6.5 ft bed of my Tundra. Front rack plus rear rack with extender for coolers and dry boxes gives space in the bed for a good single air mattress and all your other gear. Camper cover has sliding windows with screens. Take a e-z up shelter and a 3x3 folding table for rainy weather cooking. A roof box helps store stuff so you don’t have to move everything when it’s bedtime. The wife and I have done it couple times but it gets cozy if you’re tall. Works great solo though. No generator necessary. iPad, books and star watching work for us.
