I will be taking about 20 young men (ages 12-17) to Cape Lookout for a week in June. We will be tent camping near the point and they want to do some surf fishing. They have all grown up in the mountains of western NC and are looking to me for answers on surf fishing as I have minimum experience but know the basics. They want to do some crabbing and would like to try and catch some shrimp too. Any suggestions on tactics/locations to accomplish this? Also as we prepare now with tackle and rigs what species should we expect to target that time of year? Any help would be appreciated.
