Week Summary
Camped in tent cots on the north end for the first two nights. Caught slot drum limits for both days. No other species caught. Wind was a blast from the SW. Beach is cut off at high tide..most of fish caught on falling/low tide
As more of the gang arrived moved into cabin. Went back to the same place as we camped and as the wind changed to NE the fishing changed.
Slowed down.
Spent yesterday on the south point. Very nice day happened. Chopper blues and pups. Citation blue 15.8 pound. So darn good to see Mr Yellow eye back this spring. Caught fish in the suds of the point and on both sides. The bite moved as the tide changed.
Ended the trip with a fish fry of epic proportions.
Bait of choice was fresh millet. Special thanks to the folks at Davis Shore to getting my bud over late Friday.
