I'm a veteran at getting my posterior kicked on that island. Bug spray, sun screen, aloe. Wal Mart sells little battery operator lanterns made by Taclight. Compact & impressive. Also at Wal Mart in the pet department-metal scew in tie down designed to tether a dog. Get 4 and some rope. Tie your tent down on the corners. Wind can get brutal.
