I have not seen cots mentioned in the current thread, but they add a bunch to my comfort level. Sand is not soft to sleep on. Cabelas and BPS both sell oversized cots for less than $100 bucks. Combined with a sleeping pad and an old sheet and you can usually rest good. If you lay down before your dead tired, you are doing it wrong anyway! devin
