I totally agree on the cooking comments. My group assigns one meal per angler per trip. If the number of anglers is enough then we assign two anglers per meal. That way once you get past your meal you are done for the trip. This works for us.

I pre chop/slice/dice all my fixins and bag them. That way most of the prep is done. I find that things are cleaner than doing prep work while camping.

Now....I also have gotten meals like a chicken pot pie (for eight) premade from a local restaurant. All you got to do is warm it up.

Stofers makes a killer lasagna in a box. This always get eaten right up by my gang.


A well stocked bar selection is very important. You never know when you are going to need bourbon to heal wounds. Mental wounds often need repeated treatments. Fish stress can ruin a trip. Careful treatment can do wonders but a nice upper slot drum is a certain cure.
