FWIW, I use 50# braid on my spools and tie 100-150# braid uni/uni knot to my terminal tackle if I am soaking (terminal drum rig with 10-12 inches of 120 mono). I like use waterproof athletic tape on my thumb and index finger (to throw conventional and spinning with braid). I do sometimes get bitten of and abraded-off but it keeps the knot smaller through the guides for distance in my experience. I like it for landing bigger fish on steep shorelines because I throw a glove on and can leader/drag most fish out of the suds instead of relying on wave action to land the bigger ones.
