It looks like a mixed bag on the cuts. Some are very visibly blown into the sound. When I was watching the radar as the storm moved through, as the eye wall rode north northeast, the top side of the eye wall was pushing water in, then wrapping around and sucking it back out. I think that is why some of them are so darn deep. The water was acting like a saw on PI. I sure hope that the cabins are rebuilt, you can see all that debris on the sat imagery from the generator building and cabins that were lost in a big pool filling up the ferry dock area. They are going to have to dredge that back out, then doze the cut closed once it dries out some. I am really happy that at least one of the islands that we all love so much was spared. Its amazing how much beach is dug out in front of the cabins. They look like they are on cliffs now. Maybe NPS will rebuild then Kari and Rick can take them back over. Things were much nicer when they were looking after them. Hell of a burden when something like this happens though. My thoughts and prayers are with them. I hope they can weather this one.
