If your fishing for mullet, pompano, drum, trout .... flounder at times ....the less metal the better. I tie all my rigs. For double hook rigs I use 20-30 lb suffix clear line. Normally 1/0 circle or octopus hook. No metal except small barrel swivel to attach to main line. These rigs are prob 2 ft in length. If I'm throwing to trout at the jetty I tie 18-24 in 15lb yozuri fluorocarbon leader
