Just left the island yesterday and had some of the best weather we've seen in a decade. Fishing was great but the catch was only fair. Sunrise was by far the most productive time of the day. Had bait fish jumping in the suds on the first day and hauled in three 15-20 inch blues on a Kastmaster spoon, along with a nice pompano off of sand fleas. The next few days produced a few whiting (although rather large) and small pompanos. Had little luck fishing the point, regardless of tides and tried the jetty at low tide with no luck either. All my fun was at a hole due east of the bathroom on the point. Never caught anything at that location before, but there is a small riptide that can be seen at low tide. Arthur may have changed things last night, but its worth a try if you are going anytime soon. Zero luck with shrimp, frozen finger mullet or even live minnows caught with a cast net. One mullet on salted squid and the rest on fleas. Hope this helps!
