Update from the park service:Update on the search for Enrique Roman-Martinez, age 21: After searching Sunday with a USCG helicopter in the air and Marine Patrol boats in the water as well as Rangers on the island, he has not been found. Rangers continue searching today (Monday) with assistance from the Marine Patrol in boat and aerial searches.
Attention anyone who was on or near mile 46 on Cape Lookout on Saturday, May 23rd. Did you see this young man on the Cape or perhaps give him a ride off the island? He walked away from his friends very early on Saturday morning without water or other supplies and has not been seen since. His friends and family have become concerned as they have not been able to contact him. If you saw him on Saturday at anytime, would you please call and leave a message for our Rangers at the Carteret County Dispatch office at: 252-726-1911.
