Memory's a little foggy...but I do remember my uncles and friends (about eight total) built the one room cabin (about 24'x24') in a four day weekend. Worked during the day and fished at night. We had a ramp to pull the beach buggy into the cabin when they were not there.
Seems their vehicle of choice was usually a '52-53 Dodge or Plymouth. 2 wheel drive with large tires aired way down. Rod holders were 2x4's bolted to rear fenders with holes to stick the rods in. Cooler(s) and tackle boxes in the trunk. Brought coolers of puppy home most every trip. No limits back then.
I swear I remember my cousin and I climbing "UP" to peer into the gun placements now well under water.
