one or two are actually still there, they look like a star and are on either side the back road between ramp 45 and the Coast Guard Station. What was out on the beach were the forward observation pill boxes that gave firing coordinates to the guns or the fire control officer who was in a control room in that area. Take a walk in the dunes there and find the concrete slab that was the floor of the control room, you can see pipes coming out of the floor and wires that were the communication lines. There were once ammo bunkers there and back by the Sea Dollar cabin built into the dunes, you can still see the footings there and climb that big dune and you will find a ring of stones , there was a 50 Caliber machine gun there that could cover everything from the lighthouse to the Cape.
