I'm with Goat man, just use 20# mono with 80# shock leader.
My experience with Braid is that it's very expensive and when you throw a back lash it's a horrible.
I like a double uni knot or a blood knot where you double the 20# line for the connection to the shock leader. another tip is to coat the knots with crazy glue or a knot glue (clear fingernail Polish will work) so as to make the knot as smooth as possible.
