These vessels move a bit quicker than most think or can imagine. At around 3.5 minutes after launch the vessel is passing the NC coast. By the 10 minute mark the main engine is past main engine cut off (MECO), the ship is already in low-earth orbit, and the first stage has returned and landed on the recovery drone barge. These rocket ships make our “fast movers” that patrol our airspace seem quite slow by comparison. It was really idiotic to not have the means to transport our astronauts to a space station we helped fund to build while doing the majority of the heavy lifting to get it built. Marxist ideology at its finest in the administration that preceded President Trump was the culprit behind that brilliance. Thanks to our space program and the military potential it brings to the table, we as Americans can be encouraged by our position on the world stage...again.
