Maybe some of you fine gentlemen can help me with that 50/50. I have a penn 12' battalion with a penn fathom II 30(some letters and #'s i can't remember) with a star drag. What is the best way to go about setting that reel to cast at it's best. if i set the adjustment tighter, it doesn't backlash as bad/often vs when i turn it loose a little. I was casting and not getting backlashed too bad, but wasn't getting much distance. I think the 30 may be a little large compared to most heavers, but i got a deal on it. Just trying to see if i can make it work, before i buy something different. Thanks for any advice.
