Caught small Whiting and one puffer Monday evening. Tuesday, we fished the west side of the point. We caught fish all morning. We could not keep two rods in the water. Slot Reds, one over slot Red, Flounder, and more Bluefish then I could keep track of. Sharks were thick. I caught one Black Tip and fought a big Sand Tiger for quite a while. Got it to surface about thirty yards off the beach. It looked and acted like I had a telephone pole on my line. It got off after fraying my leader. Wednesday was cold and windy. Fishing was slow with a few Reds and some Flounder. Thursday was beautiful but the fishing was slow. I heard of some Whiting being caught up near the light house. Hated to pack up and leave this AM.
