"Hey, just ask the boat to pick me up at Cabin 10a!!!"
The Story from Buddy.......
MY NAME IS BUDDY BROADWAY. WE HAD A GROUP ON THE ISLAND NOV 10 - NOV 14. DURING THAT TIME IS WHEN THE REMNANTS OF "IDA"
DUMPED ALL THAT RAIN , HEAVY SURF, AND BIG NE WINDS FOR 3-4 DAYS SEVERELY FLOODING THE ISLAND FROM BOTH OCEAN AND SOUNDSIDE.
I'VE BEEN FISHING ON THIS HEAVENLY ISLAND SINCE 1985 AND CHERISH EACH TRIP I GET TO MAKE DESPITE THE WEATHER. I READ ALL POSTINGS DAILY BUT NEVER SUBMIT ANYTHING. JUST A PLAIN AND SIMPLE GUY WHO ENJOYS FISHING AND OTHERS THAT DO THE SAME. I ENJOY WHEN PEOPLE SHARE PICTURES AND TRUTHFUL FISHIN REPORTS FOR THE ISLAND.
NO BOATS WERE ABLE TO RUN ON THURSDAY NOV 12 AND FRIDAY NOV 13TH BECAUSE OF SEVERE COASTAL FLOODING AND GALE FORCE WINDS.
MY SON WAS ALONG AND WE MADE SEVERAL PICTURES OF THE CAMP DURING THIS TIME. SATURDAY MORNING AT 7AM THE WATER WAS OVER 4 FEET DEEP AT THE DOCK SO THE BOATS WERE STILL UNABLE TO LOAD AND UNLOAD VEHICLES. AS THE WATER DROPPED TO ABOUT 2 FEET WE WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO GET OFF LATER IN THE DAY SATURDAY THANKS TO THE SUPER GROUP FROM DAVIS ISLAND FERRY SERVICE.
