Here is how I handled a bad situation. Years ago fishing on Kure Pier, the spots were biting good. This big guy to my left was making side arm cast and casting over everyone. After so much, I told him to let me have his rod and I would show him how to cast and he did, there was nothing wrong with his equipment, I told him to cast straight over his head and it would go straight. Well he did not change his method of casting. A big lady on the side of me made the remark, I have to cast straight, and I said I have to cast straight and when he would cast we both would cast over his line catch two fish and bring his line in. We didn't cut or threaten. Finally he went for an break and his his little boy fish. The little boy did a fine job and when he returned another guy said why don't you let the little boy fish, he can catch more than you. Shortly he left!
