Would be tough to find bait at 7am. We stop in Morehead at Ottis' around 8:15am and do ok. Good to call ahead a few days and let them know you're coming, they'll try and find some for you.
Unfortunately we had too many beers during an evening poker game and the bait was left outside the cabin in a 2" thick styrofoam cooler that was tied down. Not that it mattered to the raccoons, they tunnelled through and ate all our fresh bait.
Take the bait coolers inside!
