The only soundside water on Cape Lookout is at drum inlet and only from the sound side of a line drawn from the sanddune line on Davis to the sanddune line on Portsmouth. I had heard all kinds of descriptions of where the line separating the 2 bodies of water was, so I went to the internet to look it up and print off a copy of the maps. All of the south end is considered ocean side.
