I was not aware of this web sight, and would have posted sooner...Last October we visited the island, while heading to the point we stopped and took some pictures of the lighthouse. After the pictures we resumed our travels to the point,I was sitting on the tailgate looking back towards toward the lighthouse, and a vehicle passed us, Park Rangers, I waved as they passed, but it was a $100 wave, I had a beer can in my hand. They stopped us, and gave 3 fines of $100 each. Was told if the driver had been drinking he would been taken to the mainland for a test. Sorry I didn't pass this on before this. You may have different opinion,,,, I think it stinks they way we were treated,the ranger stood outside his vehicle with his hand on his holster(gun). The fine has been paid, but I don't think I'll ever return.
