We use the small red VMC #4 circle hooks on very light line hand tied rigs. Caught them last fall in a nice hole above the camp and the slew on the south end, on sand fleas, shrimp, small peices of squid and fish bites (pink). Use your trout rod and start pulling back, don't set if you use the circle hooks. Use a 1 or 2oz weight so it will wash to the place that all the other stuff is washing. Try putting a red salmon egg on with shrimp.
