What ever cooler you buy, try cutting a piece of closed cell foam and putting that on top of the contents in the cooler. As the ice and cold goods goes down in the cooler the closed cell foam will go down with it, this will reduce the amount of space the ice is trying to cool. You can also cover the coolers with a silver tarp, keeping the sun and warm breeze off. Always drain off most of the water in the coolers. Another tip is to take the top of a liquid soap bottle and screw this on the cooler in place of the drain cap, when you want to wash your hands just pull the spout and you'll have running clean water. Another tip is to always restock your drink cooler first thing every morning, the can or bottled drinks will be cooler and not melt as much ice.
