I havw been camping at Lookout for 10 years,and what I use is 3/8"rebar about 2 feet long bent to form a hook and painted as not to rust.You can buy it at Lowes or Home Depot,and when you get ready to pack the tent down just jar it a little and it will come up.You cannot just pull it up!It will hold in a hurricane!!!
