Just got back from the Island. Sept. 21-23. The wind blew out of the north east the entire time. Fishing was poor. Saturday caught Black Drum, Blues, ethophan flounders, and Crockers at Drum Inlet. Blues and Pins around ramp 27. Around ramp 28 did see a man catch a drum 43 inch and 47 lbs an release. The fish was gaffed and don't know if it survived. Its bad to see such a beautiful creature probably die and not be able to keep it or return it back to the sea safely, but we all have to follow the rules. Any way there were a few blues, spanish, spots, and crockers were caught at the south end. Lots of sea weed also. The north beach did have some bad holes on it. So be careful, because you can't see the holes until you get right on top of them. Parking Lot was also about full. Well good luck to all and keep them lines tight.
