I have mounted my rod holders to the basket on front of my motorhome. I have 1 1/2" and 2" PVC rod holders because some of my surf rods won't fit in the 1 1/2". All I did was get the PVC hanger brackets from Home Depot (2 each) and 3/4" self tapping sheet metal screws, and screwed them right on to the metal basket. Make sure you get the right size for whatever size pipe you're using! It's very simple and works like a charm! Good Luck!
