Say You Saw it on the WEB!!
Four-wheel-drive vehicles are
highly recommended. All vehicles must meet state licensing and vehicle
inspection requirements. ATVs are permitted on the island (valid drivers'
license is required to operate ATVs.)
Vehicles and ATV's are to be
driven on beach side or on the back road. NO riding on dunes or around dunes.
Please help keep your Island "driver-friendly" for years to come.
All Vehicles must be out of
our lot in Davis by December 31st.
Park Registration for vehicles to be left on the island can be obtained at the Cape
Lookout National Seashore Visitor Center located at the end of Harkers
Island.
Gas is available on the island at the Caretakers Cabin.

PETS are allowed on the ferry in a carrier or inside vehicle
and must be kept on a 6-foot leash on the Island.
Pets are NOT allowed in cabins or on porches of cabins.
