A lot of you likely know this, but I just recently found it. Google earth has a free version called google earth pro for desktop. It is a free download, but you do have to download the application and install it on your workstation. It has a lot of cool features, but one is you can pull up all historical images by date. For example, you can see the huge difference in the inlet from 2005 through 2009 and then the more gradual change since then. You can search for cape lookout or anywhere once installed. There is also a way to add and name waypoints in the app and convert that to a file type that your fishfinder or gps unit can read and installl them on such. Works great for lakes that have been drawn way down in the past, but I thought it was cool looking at a space perspective of how the islands have changed.
