Threegals advice to use broom handles for tent pegs is good but I take it a step further and use the augers designed to anchor mobile homes to the ground. I use the same thing to moor my boat in shallow water instead of an anchor. You should be able to find some at a local trailer dealer. Other things that have become part of my critical gear on the island are battery operated DeWalt fans, vacuum cleaner and blower. One helps with the heat, the other two help extract sand.
