man you guys are way over thinking this rig. hook, what ever pound leader, short is good about 8 in., swivel, fish finder to attach weight that slides up line when fish picks it up so it does not feel tension and you got it. I HAVE BEEN FISHIG THIS RIG FOR 35 YRS. Caught slots to 75 lbs on same rig
