One tool I'd recommend if you're like me and don't enjoy snell knot tying or your slow with it (also me) is the Tie-Fast-Knot, get the bigger of the two versions (so you can fit the 4-8 size hooks in it), works great, quick, clean knots. Link below.

Slides I use (link below), easy attachment to weights, and the plastic slide is tampered, so I don't use a bead...never had an issue with knot damage. (sometimes you can find in 50 packs cheaper)
