Me and my son just got back from our fourth annual Easter/spring break fishing trip to the island and it was very productive! We started at the lighthouse boat dock and tore the toads up. My family loves them! We then went to ramp 42 B and fished their on the low tides and caught lots of nice whiting and a few blues. The last day we decided to fish close to the cabins to catch the last ferry so I picked a spot about 1/2 mile south from the cabins where the water didnt look all that deep but it was a little dingy and the whiting and the trout were there. I hated to leave because the fishing was very good! I did hear of a few small flounder and one guy walking out on the north end sand bars during low tide catching lots of small pups. All in all my son and I had a great trip and brought back LOTS of good eating fish!
