last week i went fishin with a buddy of mine in browns inlet (swansboro) and observed a commercial guy strike his net on what he thought were mullet. turns out the school of fish were speckeld trout all of which were undersized and were thrown back. i would estimate that about 90% of them were dead. he claims that he picked the school up on his depth finder and assumed they were mullets. now, i don't wanna get a big thing started up cause i know they have to make a living as well, but you would think he would have the experience to know that what he was striking on was not mullet.
