This past Saturday I went through Drum Inlet to fish a couple of miles offshore. I was in a brand new 23 ft. Parker that a friend of mine just bought. We were high and dry a few times but finally walked the boat to the inlet and busted through the breakers. Many people gave us advice on our way to the inlet, and I want them to know that we definitely apreciate it! We caught several sharks, had a triple Amberjack hook up, and one king mackeral. Drum is a great place. I will be there again in a couple of weeks and hope to catch more kings.
I am sure that if you saw us this past weekend you probably had a good laugh! We pushed the boat off of several shoals! But it was a blast!
