You can expect to catch pompano, mullet this time of year. shrimp works best. stop at Willis shrimp stand on the way onto the island. its on the left if you come on from cape carteret. if you missthat you can stop at the fishmarket up the street on the right. good luck for fishing over the weekend. should be a big crowd. wish i was there.
