saturday great big black drum were caught down around bear island. in an area close to the island. not in intercoastal waterway. so big they had lost their stripes. that same group caught some rather large reds too. on sunday, sis caught big mullet and some blues in the surf at ft macon. thats as close as i can get to core banks for now.
