We were down on the banks last weekend (Aug. 22, 23, 24) and we caught a few mullets. We didnt slaughter them or anything but between the mullets, spots, trout, and red drum, we (2 of us until Sat. when my cousin joined us) had enough fish to feed about 18 folks when we got home and nobody went home hungry. We also caught quiet a few blues and a few popinos the first day we were there. I had never eaten blues so we kept a few and tried them....and I will NEVER eat them again. I KNOW....we didnt do it right...yea, yea.... Anyway, we didnt know the popinos were good to eat at first and threw a few nice sized ones back, kept a couple for cut bait....we have since learned how dumb we were. Good luck fishing. We did the best just before and just after low tide it seemed. But who knows.....
