last year they came in and I tried everything, spoons, plugs, etc; thenI tied on a 3/4 oz. blue and chrome rattle trap and BAM! it hadnt even had time to sink. I fished it till i lost it(got spooled with 230 yds!!!) I now have
a box full just in case.
Also Ive had good luck with flounder and puppy drum on the 1/2 oz. rattle traps. try them out!
