Im sure lots of people would like to know the status of the tournament and we are making every attempt to get information so that you can make plans. At this point (Saturday morning), we do not have official word about the tournament nor the status of the island. CHECK THIS WEB PAGE FREQUENTLY, AS IT WILL BE THE PREFERRED ROUTE TO ADVISE MEMBERS.
I have a call in to the Bob Vogel and will discuss our options when we are able to speak. Afterwards, you will be advised of the tournament.
Many have shown an interest in going to the island on an emergency work trip basis. Please send me an email @ rwise10230@aol.com if you are interested in going. Do not post your interest in the Fishing Reports! Currently, there is not a specific plan for such an effort. I am only trying to get a head count of the number of interested people and make plans for organizing. Keep in mind that water will not be available there nor some of the other accomodations we would ususally expect, so be more prepared than you may normally be regarding food, water and shelter.
Lots of information will be coming in Saturday and Sunday regarding the island via our own club members there and AWFC. We will inform you when we get something to post!
