What I plan to do this week is call each senator on this committee:

and ask that they vote for Senate Bill
S.486, Preserving Access to Cape Hatteras Beaches Act
Which is a bi-partisan bill co-authored by both of our NC senators, Senators Kaye Hagen (D) and Richard Burr (R).
This bill will give back the rights to NC and all citizens to use their beaches. As the current ruling stands birds have been given more rights than people and it is time that science rules over the special interest of Judicial and Environmental activist.
There is no need to go into details of the current ruling, just to make a point that you do have an interest in walking on our beaches and using the National Seashore Recreational area as was the original intention when these National Parks were formed.
In my Opinion Politian's, care about the votes it takes to keep their cushy jobs, and they vote on where they think that public opinion is that will keep them in office. So, the more calls they get concerning an issue does swing their votes.
Please everyone pick up the phone, take 30 minutes of your time so that you and your children will be able to set foot on the wonderful beaches our state has been blessed with.
