Just got back from 3 day trip with 3 grandkids and son. Kids had a great time catching sharks,rays,undersize flounders. Some huge bat rays were landed by the 9 yr old and son. The south point and jettys produced mostly sharks and rays Friday thru Sunday. Grandkids enjoyed catching them and didn't know it was a bad fishing day. The Hatteras blues and puppy drum were caught by other fisherman fishing the deep troughs in front of cabins and ramp 25 and 34,35. The south end is beginning to look like it did 4-5 yrs ago with sand bars and troughs. Last yr it was pretty flat. When water and wind gets right it will be great fishing. We had North east winds all week end.
